II AII COMMITTEE OF SENIOR OFFICIAL – TIRANA (ONLINE) 2 MARCH 2022

 



The second AII Committee of Senior Officials under Albanian Chairmanship took place online on March 2nd back-to-back with the first session of the 17th EUSAIR Governing Board.

 

After a brief report on the activities conducted so far under Albanian Chairmanship, AII Senior Officials discussed about the achievements of the Presidency so far and the planned activities until the end of the Presidency in May.

The Albanian Chairmanship-in-office presented to the CSO a productive calendar of upcoming activities that foresees:

  • AII Round Table on “National Parks in the AII region as a driver of sustainable development" to be held on March 29th, online;
  • XVIII Conference of Speakers of the Parliaments of the Adriatic Ionian Initiative (May 3-4, Tirana).
  • Adriatic Ionian Council / EUSAIR Ministerial Meeting (May 16th);
  • Several Round Tables as side-events within the framework of the 7th EUSAIR Annual Forum.

Further topics discussed were: the next Adriatic and Ionian Council/EUSAIR Ministers of Foreign Affairs meeting, the preparation of the Tirana Declaration, the activities developed for young people, specifically the AII Scholarships at the Marche Polytechnic University and the internships organized in cooperation with the Forum of the Adriatic Ionian Chambers of Commerce and UniAdrion.
